Whatever your requirement, from 8kVA single phase, up to 2700kVA three phase 50Hz, Forest City can supply. Details of generator sets available for 60Hz supply can be obtained by contacting our sales team. Should your on site power requirements be larger, or more flexible, then we offer multiple generator set applications with fully automatic synchronising and load share controls for optimum efficiency.

Our Story
Forest City Company profile
Forest City Generators was founded in 1902 by Samuel Quilliam. The factory was first located in Manchester's famed Trafford Park, Europe's first purpose-built industrial estate. The first products were associated with overhead cables and rail switching systems for electric tramcars. However, the origin of the present production line was laid in the 1920s when Forest City Generators became the first British manufacturer of traffic signals.
Parallel production of warning and directional road signs provided additional foundations for a thriving business with an export led expansion culminating in a movement to larger premises in the Manchester suburb of Stretford. During both World Wars, Forest City Generators temporarily diverted its production lines to wartime munitions and anti-submarine buoys.
The company now concentrates on the production and supply of diesel generators, and the supply of all related original manufacturers spare parts.
The company is currently run by Andrew Lamb (Managing Director). Andrew was pleased to join Forest City in September 2000 to help promote the export of our world renowned UK manufactured diesel generator sets, following twelve years of experience in the import and export of engineering products between the UK and India.
In 2008, after the tragic loss of the company owner and Managing Director Mr Peter Quilliam in an aircraft accident in Australia, Andrew was appointed by the Quilliam family as Managing Director of the company, which has continued to enjoy the support of many loyal, and new, clients worldwide.
December 2015 saw Andrew lead a buyout of the Forest City company from the Quilliam family. Since then, the company has enjoyed continued success and growth in the international market with a great acknowledgement of the expertise and technical support offered to all our highly valued customers around the globe.
